Mohit Malik is gearing up for the release of his web series, Chamak. In an interview with OTTplay, the actor revealed how easy it is for an artist to get corrupted in showbiz.
Mohit Malik, a popular TV actor, is awaiting the release of his new web show, Chamak. The web series is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV on December 7. Before the show premiered, OTTplay interviewed Mohit. In conversation with us, the actor spoke about how an artist needs to hold his or her ground in the world of showbiz.
Mohit Malik on dealing with fame in showbiz
Speaking exclusively with OTTplay, Mohit said it is very important for an artist not to become 'corrupted'. The actor feels it is very easy for an artist to get corrupted.
"Yaha corrupt hona bohot easy hai for an artist. Ye chamak aur maya jo hai aapko apne taraf khichti hai, you have to strike a balance now. You can't be on the other side and say that I won't do anything and stay secluded. You have to strike a balance," said Mohit Malik.

Mukesh Chhabra on handling fame
Mukesh Chhabra, too, believed that dealing with fame, aptly, is also an art. The casting director, who is an integral part of Chamak as an actor, stated that it is challenging for a person to keep their honesty and purity intact while dealing with fame in showbiz.
"The way you deal with it, kitne sincerity and honesty se, is also an art. Because you are getting the thing that you've come for, you have to love and respect that as well," he added.
What is Chamak all about?
Chamak, directed by Rohit Jugraj, is a six-episode web series. The story revolves around the life of Kaala, who travels to Punjab from Canada in a quest to unravel the mystery behind the deaths of his parents.
Apart from Mohit and Mukesh, the series features Akasa Singh, Paramvir Cheema, Isha Talwar, Gippy Grewal, Suvinder Vicky, Manoj Pahwa, and others. Gippy, Malkit Singh, Afsana Khan, Asees Kaur, Sunidhi Chauhan, Mika Singh, and other artists have contributed to the music album for this series, which has about 28 songs.
