Anjali Anand has opened up about working with her on-screen daughter in Raat Jawaan Hai. The actress revealed she had to warm up a lot with her during the shoot.
After her Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 stint, Anjali Anand is back with a new project, which is a web series titled Raat Jawaan Hai. The actress plays the role of a mother Radhika in the Sumeet Vyas-directed show. Set to premiere on SonyLIV, Raat Jawaan Hai is a story about three best friends, Avinash, Radhika, and Suman. Before its premiere, OTTplay interviewed actress Anjali, who shared her experience of working with her on-screen daughter in the show.
In conversation with us, Anjali Anand admitted that everything was challenging about her character Radhika in Raat Jawaan Hai. It's because the actress is neither a wife nor a mother in real life. Everything about the role was new and amusing for Anjali. For example: 'How a child reacts to different and how their minds work'.

She further spoke about the girl, who plays her on-screen daughter in Raat Jawaan Hai. The actress revealed, "My kid in the series is the oldest one out of all three kids who are there in the show. She understood things and she knew what she was doing and where she was. She is such a well-raised kid and a bright girl, it was nice to work with her. Obviously, it took a lot of warming up to do. I had to warm up to her a lot and eventually, it worked out really well."
Earlier, in an official statement, Anjali revealed she isn't exactly like the character Radhika. However, there are aspects of her that she aspires to embody. "I definitely aspire to be more like Radhika in real life. Furthermore, the positive energy on set and the incredible support from everyone made it easier to portray her effortlessly," added Anand.
Directed by Sumeet Vyas, Raat Jawaan Hai is scheduled for an OTT premiere on SonyLIV on October 11, 2024. It also features Barun Sobti and Priya Bapat in key roles. Once the show premieres, it will be available for streaming with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
