In an interview with OTTplay, Adah Sharma opened up about her upcoming web series, Reeta Sanyal. The actress spoke about the genre of her Disney+ Hotstar show.

Adah Sharma is gearing up for the OTT release of her web show Reeta Sanyal. The actress plays the title role in the series, which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on October 14. Before the show's release, OTTplay interviewed Adah, who spoke about her series and character at length. The actress opened up about the genre of her project. Adah also revealed her character Reeta, as a lawyer, has just started her career.

Speaking about Reeta Sanyal, Adah said several aspects of the show excited her. The actress liked the genre of it, which is pulp fiction. She mentioned that people need to understand the pulp fiction thing of the show. The actress admitted not watching much of pulp fiction herself.

"I think in India, there's not so much pulp function that is made. Here, lawyer and crime shows are serious ones that are grounded to reality. This is far from reality. It is fiction, fantasy, and adventure. Of course, Reeta is a lawyer and she is fighting crime. It is very interesting (to know) why she is making her client prove himself guilty," she told us.
Adah Sharma opens up about her character
Sharma continued the conversation by revealing that Reeta is a small-time lawyer who has only handled one or two cases in her career. "But now, she gets this huge political case, where she is fighting these really corrupt lawyers who are well connected to politics. And Thakral (Rahul Dev's character) has never lost a case before," added Adah.
The actress added that Reeta is entangled in the 'murky' world of politics and corruption. "(But) she still wants to stick to her grounds where she will not budge from the truth. She only wants to stick to the truth. It is interesting to see how her journey is," she said while signing off.
