Aarya Antim Vaar - Ila Arun says she and Sushmita Sen are 'good friends'; talks about their on-screen rivalry | Exclusive interview

Ahead of Aarya Antim Vaar's premiere, OTTplay caught up with Ila Arun for an exclusive chat. In this interaction, she spoke about off-screen bond with co-star Sushmita Sen.

Ila Arun joined the star cast of Ram Madhvani's Aarya in its third installment. She came on board to play the role of a Nalini Sahiba, who comes from a royal background. As of today, the senior actress is gearing up for the release of Aarya: Antim Vaar, in which she will lock horns with Sushmita Sen's character Aarya. Before the series premieres on Disney+ Hotstar, OTTplay did an exclusive interaction with Ila Arun, who spoke about her off-screen bond and on-screen rivalry with Sushmita.

Speaking with OTTplay, Ila Arun revealed the kind of equation she shares with Sushmita Sen off-screen. "Personally, in our life, we are very good friends. She respects me a lot and I adore her a lot. And on the screen, the challenge is bigger because there is a woman younger than you, who is full of action. There is Nalini Sa who is older than her and very regal and royal. How does she plan to finish her? (is the question). Because I cannot do those kind of actions that she does but I am also full of action when it (time) comes," she said.

Continuing her chat with us, Ila Arun mentioned a few things that people will find interesting to watch in Aarya: Antim Vaar. "So that is what people will like that throughout this season I am playing a game of chess in my mind about how to deal with her (Aarya) while keeping the dignity and royalness intact because my background is from royalty. That is going to be interesting for the audience," added Ila Arun.

Spilling more beans about her character and creating intrigue around the show, she concluded by stating, "I am not frivolous and I am not someone who talks so much. So, what will be my style of finishing her wherever she is? And why am I doing this? That is going to be the most interesting part that people will watch."

Aarya: Antim Vaar cast and release date

Besides Ila Arun and Sushmita Sen, Ram Madhvani's Aarya: Antim Vaar also stars Indranil Sengupta, Vikas Kumar, Sikandar Kher, Maya Sarao, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shweta Pasricha, and others. The web series is all set to premiere on February 9, 2024.
