For the first time in his career, Vaisshnav Tej stars in an out-and-out action drama, Aadikeshava. The film, produced by Naga Vamsi under his Sithara Entertainments banner, is slated to be released in theatres on November 24.

Tej will be seen in a never-before-seen action avatar and says he has not done Aadikeshava just to become a mass hero. "I have done performance-oriented roles in my first two films and needed to prove that I can carry a mass role, which is a must for an actor in Telugu cinema. The film has mass moments, but they are not over the top like other regular commercial films," says Tej.

For the first time, Tej will be seen mouthing mass dialogue. Speaking about this, he says that he never found it difficult to speak those over-the-top lines, as his director knew his image and played along with it in a simple yet impactful way.

Sreeleela plays the female lead in the film and Tej says that he can never forget her support during the shooting of dance numbers. "We have crackling chemistry in the film and youngsters will love Sreeleela's role in particular," says Tej.

When asked what makes Aadikeshava unique, Tej responds, "Although the movie is an action drama, the conflict point is quite novel and will appeal to family audiences as well. The emotions are relatable and have been showcased in a very contemporary manner".

Adding further, Tej says that director Srikanth has showcased him in a unique manner and he loved being in a powerful avatar. "Aadikeshava is a genuine attempt. The film has all the trappings of a commercial potboiler. It is relatable and not over the top, as everyone is predicting it to be," said Vaisshnav Tej, signing off.
