Purab Kohli talks about censorship on OTT.

Purab Kohli is currently gearing up for the release of his web series, 36 Days. During the show's promotions, OTTplay exclusively interviewed Purab, who shared his thoughts about censorship on OTT. The actor, who has done a few web projects in the past, thinks that nothing creative should be censored. While interacting with us, Purab mentioned if people have a problem watching certain content, they can simply avoid it.

Purab Kohli on OTT censorship

Purab Kohli believes nothing creative should be censored not only on OTT or television but also in films. The actor said, "Why are we trying to treat the audience like kids? If you don't want your kid to watch something, I understand... don't let your kid watch something. But then, there are enough parental blocks and every OTT platform has a parental block. Don't send your child to the cinema to watch (certain) things. Since you don't have control over that aspect of your life, why do you want to control somebody else's business?"

The actor further told OTTplay that the idea of artists and creativity is to put ideas into society. Kohli added that as an artist, he is supposed to try to look for different characters and represent them. The 45-year-old feels such characters do exist in society.

"As artists, we are reflections of that society so we have to portray those correct reflections. By censoring nudity or abusive language, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. By censoring s*x, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It exists," added Purab.
