Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya ending explained! Is there still scope for a sequel to Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's AI romance?
The makers of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya have hinted at a potential sequel to the sci-fi romantic comedy.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya hit the big screen on Friday and has opened to mixed reviews. In the AI-based love story, Shahid Kapoor portrays a robotics engineer who falls in love with a humanoid robot, played by Kriti Sanon. Although the concept left an impressive mark on many, the film fell short in its screenplay and execution. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya intertwines a romantic comedy with an out-and-out family drama. The climactic revelation
(Spoilers Ahead!) However, in the climax, the audience finally witnesses the robot's "humane" side, as it reveals its susceptibility to glitches as a man-made machine that humans cannot solely rely upon. Towards the end, we see that Kriti's character on her wedding day malfunctioned while charging due to a short circuit at the wedding venue. This leads to her activating the delete folder and doing tasks assigned to her earlier. If someone tells her, "Pure Delhi ko aag laga denge" and then claims it was a joke, she deletes the task. However, due to a malfunction, she decides to set the whole city on fire. This leads to Sifra (Kriti) becoming a dangerous machine that only intends to harm others. The actor delivers a stupendous performance in doing so. The robot's overwhelming power renders the creator, played by Dimple Kapadia, and her lover, Shahid Kapoor, helpless. We see that to finally control Sifra, Aryan (Shahid) hits her with a sword and shuts her down. This comes after she attacks him, making him finally realise that this is just a machine and will not reciprocate love just because you have the remote control.ALSO READ: Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya review - Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's attempt at clumsy AI romance gets tangled in its own wiresLove vs. Control
We then see that this is the end of the love story, which didn't exist to begin with. What looked like a romantic relationship was just sugarcoating in the name of slavery. The climax is more or less similar to S. Shankar's Enthiran which also had Rajinikanth as Chhitti the Robot going into destruction mode in the second half. Watch Tejas, Expendables 4, Australian Open, Cubicles 3, and more on OTTplay, by subscribing to the Jhakaas monthly pack, which provides access to 22 OTTs at just ₹249 for the first month. However, Sifra, an advanced robot launched in India, develops feelings through a series of complex algorithms and machine learning processes. How? In the post-credit scene, we see Janhvi Kapoor making a special appearance and trying to flirt with Shahid's character, which Kriti, as a robot, notices and gives a hint of jealousy. Then the film ends with "To be continued...".Setting the stage for a sequel
Well, if there's a sequel to Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya I hope the makers make course corrections and work on all the criticisms they have been facing since the time of its release.ALSO READ: Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya: What Were They Thinking?Share
