Best Episodes From Panchayat
Slice-of-life content has always had takers. The genre that has been an inevitable part of cinema forever is one of the silent winners. With time, people started experimenting with it, and a trend emerged where a subtle message was marinated with drama that replicated life and its complexities. Most recently, Laapata Ladies used the genre to perfection. With the advent of streaming platforms, creators from across the country have been gravitating towards thrillers and noirs, but some still have hope for content that talks about people like us, families like ours, and surroundings that feature humans who don't necessarily have a lethal secret or a deadly weapon at hand. Panchayat on Amazon Prime Video is one such example. The introduction of Panchayat to the audience on Amazon Prime Video was no less than a celebration. The content that came between the Mirzapurs and the Sacred Games of the world felt like a perfect partner to breathe with. It was a show about a landscape that was happy in its own bubble, away from the world that is rapidly modernising. It was about people who have found comfort in the setup, which they are told is the only way to live. Laced with humour and created by Deepak Mishra, it brought us Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik, and many other skilled artists. Enjoy 23 OTTs like SonyLIV, Zee5, Fancode, Lionsgateplay & 19 more OTTs and 250+ Live TV Channels at just ₹75. Now, as we fast approach the third season of Panchayat, we thought a revision of the milestone moments of the show was necessary. So below are the five best episodes of Panchayat that you can revisit before you watch the third season on May 28, 2024.

Best Episodes From Panchayat Season 1 and 2

Parivaar

Season 2 - Episode 8 Parivaar has to be a rollercoaster of an episode that the makers wrote for Panchayat. There is so much to devour in this because a lot is happening. This village has found a new synch as they all are on the same note and fighting the same enemy. But everything comes to a standstill when tragedy hits Prahlad. A man loses his son on the border and will now have to live a life where he has no one to look up to. The finale of season 2 left us broken, and it has to be the best episode.

Jab Jaago Tabhi Savera

Season 1 - Episode 8 The finale of season 1 was no less. It was an entire season about Abhishek, played by Jitendra Kumar, running away from the pool he had been pushed into. It was about him having bigger aspirations but no resources around. The season one finale was him coming to terms with the world that he is now a part of and trying to blend himself into it completely. Panchayat first peaked here because Sachiv was finally accepting Phulera. Also Read: Heeramandi Review - Sanjay Leela Bhansali is now a genre and his poetic grandeur stands unparalleled

Kranti

Season 2 - Episode 3 The sheer chaos of Kranti is crazy. The village is being inspected, and Abhishek is doing his best to make Phulera look the best. But there are also people who are against the idea Abhishek has for the village, and the hilarious undertone of rivalry and the obnoxious idea make Kranti a very interesting episode. If you want to explain what Panchayat is in one episode, this one has to be the best pick.

Jaise Ko Taisa

Season 2 - Episode 5 Pradhan ji and his obsession with his position are something that becomes a very prominent highlight in Panchayat. When the same position is now threatened by a rival, what happens? But then it is also a very serious situation for Abhishek, who now has to choose a side. Jaise Ko Taisa, the fifth episode in the second season, sees Sachiv being loud and clear about his stand. Indeed, very balanced writing.

Computer Nahi Monitor

Season 1 - Episode 5 Abhishek in season one is a man who is having a tough time burying his aspirations and accepting his reality. In Phulera, one day when he decides to keep everything aside and just have some fun, he is unaware that fate knocks on the door at such moments. He is visited by a grave situation that demands a lot from him, and you will have to see the episode to know what that is. You won't come out disappointed for sure. Panchayat Season 1 and 2 are now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The third season will hit the streaming platform on May 28, 2024.
