Katrina Kaif; Shahid Kapoor on Koffee With Karan

Bollywood stars have long used Karan Johar's talk show Koffee With Karan as a safe space to open up about their personal lives, exchange stories, and have frank discussions. The finale episode of this season will be dropped at midnight on Disney+ Hotstar. The eighth season only had 12 episodes, and several Bollywood stars who were regulars were often missed on the couch. This definitely comes as a surprise!

Season 8's lack of these celebrities left fans wanting to see more of them. Let's take a look at the seven celebrities who were shockingly conspicuous by their absence this season.

Aamir Khan

Reports were making the rounds that Aamir Khan would be appearing on the couch once again with Kiran Rao, his ex-wife. However, it seems like the news has turned out to be untrue. The superstar's first appearance was with her, and then he also graced the couch with his Dangal co-stars, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Aamir promoted Thugs of Hindostan in a solo appearance, and in the last season, he came with Kareena Kapoor Khan, his Laal Singh Chaddha co-star.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar's first visit to Koffee With Karan was alone, where the actor even hosted a rapid-fire session for Karan Johar. Soon after, the star visited the show with his wife and writer, Twinkle Khanna, creating one of the most fun episodes. Moreover, Akshay has also appeared with Ranveer Singh on the show, and his last outing was with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which stirred up controversy on the Internet. It would have been yet another interesting episode to see the actor back on the couch.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif has also featured on the talk show multiple times. She appeared with Lara Dutta Bhupathi for the first time and with Anushka Sharma after skipping a couple of seasons. Katrina then went on to appear with Varun Dhawan on the show. Her last appearance was in the previous season with Phone Bhoot co-actors Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She is a hot favourite on the show, with all her honesty and candidness.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon has been a part of Koffee With Karan twice. She first appeared with Kartik Aaryan during the promotions for Luka Chuppi. Her last appearance was alongside her first co-star, Tiger Shroff. Well, we wonder, how didn't Kriti make it to the couch this time?

Shahid Kapoor

Since Koffee With Karan began, this is the first time Shahid Kapoor has had a no-show. Yes, the actor has appeared seven times on the talk show, making him a veteran. The actor appeared with Esha Deol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sonakshi Sinha, his wife Mira Rajput Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Kiara Advani. It's a shocker, indeed!

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor has also been a regular on the Koffee With Karan couch, including when she was pregnant last season. She appeared on the couch with Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, her siblings Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor. Why wasn't Sonam seen on the couch this time?

Tiger Shroff

Tiger Shroff made his debut on the show in the fifth season, appearing alongside his father and actor Jackie Shroff. The action star then appeared with his Student of the Year 2 co-actors, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. Tiger last appeared on the couch with Kriti Sanon. It would have been interesting if he had appeared with Akshay Kumar, as they are working together in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
