In the latest episode of <em>KWK Season 8</em> hosted by Karan Johar, the Kapoor sisters spill the Koffee, but it felt less like a genuine pour and more like Bollywood's polished plot.

Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 11 Review:

This is the 11th episode of this season, where the combination was once again of blood relations. After a mother-son duo, Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan, the latest episode saw sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor gracing the couch. Knowing that the latter made her acting debut with The Archies in December, it comes as no surprise that her next step is to be on the Karan Johar-hosted talk show.

But one more credit has to go to the filmmaker, who acknowledged that he was digressing from the topic. KJo began right at the beginning while talking about how special it's to have Janhvi and Khushi, the daughters of his most favourite actor, Sridevi. Even before asking them how they were feeling and exchanging small talks, the filmmaker made sure that he first talked about how he was happy and recalled his first meeting with the late actor, where he also met Manish Malhotra for the first time.

Well, why are we digressing from the actual conversation? The episode was filled with sibling revelry, and there was no way there would be a rivalry in the near future, at least. However, the topics kept on encircling privilege, including Karan Johar's favourite topic, Hello, boyfriends! Lately, when the young or Gen Z actors come on the couch, Karan, who knows everything, behaves exactly the way he doesn't and asks questions, which apparently "the nation wants to know"! Well, that's not true entirely. Even the guests who are at the receiving end react in such a way that they also seem as annoyed as we are while watching it.

In one instance, when Shikhar Pahariya was a constant topic Karan asked Janhvi if her father, Boney Kapoor, was "chill" with her boyfriends, and she kept on mumbling "boyfriend boyfriend," then talked about how they were "good friends."

But kudos to the way Janhvi and Khushi behaved well-trained on the couch, knowing that they could not get in trouble anymore with their words or rather actions. This was the first time we saw siblings so deeply connected that they were constantly protecting each other, even during the rapid-fire round.

There were emotional moments that were meant to happen, as the topic was losing their mother, Sridevi, and how the loss was more irreparable than one can imagine. The sisters did shed a tear, and it was indeed heartwarming, so to speak! However, the episode is not all about just one topic that will reel throughout.

The "boyfriend" topic remained constant when the target switched between Janhvi and Khushi while addressing their "alleged" beaus, Shikhar Pahariya and Vedang Raina, respectively. And what more can you ask about Khushi other than the precedent rivalries with her co-stars and also finally making the cut among the leading actors in a Zoya Akhtar film for her debut?

But still, that switched to the question of whether she is seeing Vedang, who is also a part of The Archies. I appreciated that both girls made Bollywood references while addressing their dating rumours. It impressed me in a situation where the guests might finally become annoyed with questions they will never answer definitively.

Viewers cannot be deceived, no matter how much you try, and Janhvi and Khushi did give in to their dating lives, especially Janhvi for both. She mentioned that Shikhar is on her speed dial, while also saying that Khushi and Vedang look cute together.

Their candidness looked well-prepared, as they knew how to build it up and show cats getting out of the bags like a "gasping" moment, wherein it was all going to come together at a point in time.

We are not mighty impressed, but what more can you expect with celebrities taking on the challenge of launching the boat against the so-called storm and sailing through it?

Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 11 Verdict:

In a brew of sibling secrets and Koffee confessions, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor spilled the beans, but the episode seemed more like a rehearsed Bollywood script than a candid revelation.
