The year 2023 was a great one for Bollywood in terms of how films fared at the box office. When theatres were shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, several people felt the medium would soon fade out while OTT could take its place. However, this year proved that both mediums can equally coexist. We had blockbuster hits like Pathaan, Jawan, and Animal, and there's a long list of some highly anticipated movies that are scheduled to release in 2024.

On this note, we take you through a detailed list of the top 10 Bollywood films you can look forward to watching next year. Without any further ado, let's begin...

Fighter

After the roaring success of Pathaan, Siddharth Anand is set to take the audience on a thrilling ride with his upcoming offering, Fighter. This film marks Siddharth's reunion with Hrithik Roshan after their successful 2019 movie, War. The star cast of Fighter also includes Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. A few promotional materials for this aerial action entertainer are already out. Produced by Viacom 18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, Fighter is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 25, 2024.

Chandu Champion

Kartik Aaryan has stepped out of his comfort zone to bring something different to his new film, Chandu Champion. The actor has collaborated with filmmaker Kabir Khan for the movie, in which he will play the role of an athlete. There's a lot of curiosity around this movie, which is set to hit the big screen on June 14, 2023. For this movie, Kartik has shot an 8-minute-long-single-shot war scene. It will be interesting to see how Kabir presents Kartik in a fresh avatar.

Singham Again

Singham Again is yet another Bollywood movie that people are eagerly waiting for. It is the third installment of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's hit Singham franchise, a part of his cop universe. Ajay Devgn will be back as Singham in the film, while Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Akshay Kumar also have pivotal roles in the movie. The action-entertained will be released on August 15, 2024.

Stree 2

The much-awaited sequel to Amar Kaushik's Stree will be released on August 30, 2024. The film marks Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee's on-screen reunion after six years of Stree. The first part of Amar's movie was a hit upon its theatrical release in 2018. Hence, people have pinned high hopes on Stree 2.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2024. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will be seen in the lead roles, while Prithviraj Sukumaran also has an important part to play. Earlier this year, Akshay confirmed that his movie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, will be released on the big screen on Eid 2024.

Merry Christmas

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's film, Merry Christmas, was all set to release in December 2023. However, the makers decided to postpone the movie's theatrical release to January 12, 2024. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas is a romantic thriller that also stars Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar. The movie will be released in two languages: Hindi and Tamil.

Kalki 2898 AD

Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has been on everyone's mind since the film was officially announced. Earlier, it was said that the big-budget film, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan, would be released in January 2024. According to new media reports, the makers have decided to postpone the film's theatrical release. Nevertheless, ardent fans will wait with bated breath to watch Kalki 2898 AD next year.

Sky Force

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force will mark Akshay Kumar's third theatrical release in 2024. According to a media report, this film is based on a true story. Veer Pahariya will also make his big Bollywood debut with the Akshay Kumar starrer. It is set to hit the silver screen on October 2, 2024.

Welcome To The Jungle

Welcome To The Jungle will arrive in cinema halls on December 20, 2024. It is the third installment of the Welcome franchise. On his 56th birthday this year, Akshay shared a glimpse of Welcome To The Jungle (his fourth movie of 2024). The star-studded cast of this comic caper includes Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, and Lara Dutta. It is being helmed by Ahmed Khan.

Metro... In Dino

It has been officially announced that Anurag Basu's Metro... In Dino will be released on March 29, 2024. The star cast of Basu's directorial venture is huge and has talented actors like Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkana Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
