Echo Cameos
We are now officially in 2024, and on the fifth day of the year, we can safely say we are inching closer to every project that was mentioned in a hundred online listicles (I wrote at least 25 percent of them. Guilty as charged). While the world has abundance, the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t have a lot happening as the studio is taking time to rectify things and learn from the 2023 trajectory. However, the first project to be released from the mill is Echo, and we are less than a week away from it. Starring Alaqua Cox in the lead, this is indeed one of its kind shows. Why, you ask? Well, it is firstly a very niche and supremely interesting character taking center stage and making way for many more to come. Secondly, Echo will technically kick start the Marvel Spotlight banner that will mostly focus on telling niche character stories and developing them enough to bring them to the main timeline. Call this the bench to MCU, but also one that is as efficient as the main ones.So now, as Echo gears up for its release next week, the biggest highlight of the show is the interesting cameos that it is going to have. So far, we have heard a lot of chatter about Daredevil’s appearance being confirmed. Even the maker has teased us that cameos are a pivotal plot vehicle to the show today. So today, we list down all the possible cameos and one that we think will have:Also Read: Disney+'s Echo plot details out; her involvement in Daredevil: Born Again teased – Here’s everything we know DaredevilThe fact that Daredevil is the only freshly included new face in the MCU roster that the studio has used continuously. He made his way into She-Hulk and now will have his time in Echo too. He is a man of the underbelly, and beating the Nexus in Echo wouldn’t be possible without him. We have already been teased about his much-awaited fight sequence enough.PunisherThe fact that Netflix shows that were adapted from Marvel Comics are also now a part of the Scared Timeline as per Echo EP Brad Winderbaum. What’s making you even think Punisher will not have a cameo or at least a mention in the six episodes that are set to release next week? There’s Daredevil and Kingpin both in Echo, and the fact that the studio can put Punisher in the mix and make him decide his side in the MCU is the most interesting thing.Wilson Fisk's Son Butch ParrisNone of the things that Wilson did have churned out a good outcome. He is the man who killed Bullseye’s girlfriend so he stays under his control. So if Echo decides to introduce Butch in a cameo, it will be interesting to see how he justifies his legacy. Whether the son of one of the darkest characters takes his father’s path or deviates from it is a big mystery.Watch Kadak Singh, Chamak, Scam 2003, Duranga 2 and more on OTTplay, by subscribing to the Jhakaas monthly pack which provides access to 19 OTTs at just ₹49 for the first month.Spider-ManWho could have thought we would be one day talking about seeing Spider-Man swinging his web in an OTT show? There are rumors that even our Peter Parker is going to have a cameo in Echo, and if this happens to be true, Marvel Spotlight is about to open with a momentous show. However, whether Tom Holland will reprise the part in the show or not is a mystery. But all clues lead only to him at this point, and there is no room for another actor.AyalaAyala could be a very niche addition to the list of big characters, but her presence will only help the existence of Maya and Daredevil shine. Because she has superpowers that are at par with Matt Murdock and is called the White Tiger in the MCU. Her addition will only bring a good chance to build a world that is exclusive to these rogue characters who work in the shadows.Stay tuned to OTTplay for more on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
